Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Provide occupational therapy services in an elementary school setting in Avondale, AZ, delivering both direct and indirect support to K-8 students. This full-time contract position spans the current school year through May 21, 2026, focusing on itinerant services with an emphasis on school-based care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality occupational therapy interventions to students from kindergarten through 8th grade.
- Manage a caseload through both direct therapy sessions and indirect consultation with staff and families.
- Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTA) as part of service delivery.
- Collaborate with educators and school personnel to support student success within the school environment.
- Comply with all state licensing and school district requirements.
Qualifications:
- Valid Arizona Occupational Therapy license.
- Current IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
- Prior experience working in a school-based occupational therapy role is highly preferred.
- Ability to provide itinerant services effectively across multiple grade levels.
- Strong organizational and communication skills for effective caseload management and collaboration.
- Commitment to onsite work at the Avondale elementary school location.
